I did the discharge-recharge routine several times, but the first battery I received never went above 73 percent. After about 3 weeks, it was down to 62 percent max. Within 30 days, I initiated an online return and replacement with no hassle whatsoever. The second battery works great!Oh, and my HP laptop opened easier after I found the screws hidden under the two bumper strips on the bottom.

Install was simple, and after installing it and conditioning the battery per instructions (full drain to 5% and charge to full 3 times), the longevity so far seems to match the OEM with 2.5-3 hrs of battery life available at 90% screen brightness.No complaints so far. If anything changes, I'll update the review.Update 2 months in. Still provides about 3 hours of life while cruising the net at 90% screen brightness on 2019 HP Pavilion 6CR88AV 15" laptop.

This battery is an exact replacement for the original batteries we had in our HP Notebook laptops. The directions assume you have some tech knowledge, which I don’t, so I found a video for my HP model and it was fairly easy. The magnetized screw drivers are perfect for holding onto those teeny screws and what I thought was a guitar pick is actually to help loosen the case. My battery came 75% charged and installation was something I wished I’d done months ago.
